Talurit® Swaging Systems

TALULOCK®

SKU: TALULOCK 500CC Category:

TALULOCK® is a next-generation, epoxy-based resin socketing system for wire rope terminations, engineered in Sweden by the pioneers of mechanical splicing. It delivers superior bonding performance, outstanding operator safety and a formulation built with the environment in mind, from offshore mooring to precision end-stops.

TALULOCK® is a two-component, epoxy-based resin socketing system for wire rope terminations, developed by Talurit AB — the company that pioneered mechanical splicing of wire rope and has set the industry benchmark since 1948. It brings modern epoxy chemistry to a process that has relied on polyester resins for decades, raising the standard for bonding strength, operator safety and environmental responsibility in a single product.

At the heart of TALULOCK® is an epoxy formulation that locks onto individual wires with greater adhesion than conventional polyester resins, with less shrinkage and minimal voiding — for a termination you can trust under full load. It is engineered for the full spectrum of socketing work: offshore mooring and subsea lifting; crane, hoist and heavy-lift rigging; industrial and construction terminations; small end-stops and precision assemblies; and marine, aerospace and entertainment rigging. It is suitable for use with both steel wire rope and a range of synthetic ropes.

TALULOCK® is designed to be safer for the people who use it. Under normal use it requires no solvents needing respiratory protection and contains no carcinogenic constituents, so standard gloves, eye protection and protective clothing are sufficient for routine mixing and pouring. The formulation also reflects a genuine commitment to sustainability: at least 15% of it comes from renewable raw materials, without compromising durability or mechanical performance, and the resin component is non-flammable.

Everyday practicality is built in. Pre-portioned two-component kits and homogeneous mixing confirmed by colour remove the guesswork, so any competent operator can achieve a correct, repeatable result. An industry-leading shelf life of up to 30 months at ≤30 °C lets distributors and operators stock ahead, reduce waste and respond to short-notice orders with confidence. And because the resin component is non-flammable and unrestricted for air freight, TALULOCK® helps cut transport complexity and lead times wherever the job is in the world.

TALULOCK® meets the performance requirements of EN 13411-4 (metal and resin socketing) and ISO 17558 (molten metal and resin socketing procedures), and is being submitted for DNV type approval against DNV-OS-E304 and DNV-CP-0095 for offshore mooring. It is manufactured in Sweden by Talurit AB, certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. As the only supplier to offer a complete wire rope termination system — swagers, ferrules, fittings and socketing resin — under one roof, Talurit makes TALULOCK® the natural next step: the product only Talurit could build.

Available in 100 cc, 250 cc, 500 cc, 1,000 cc and 2,000 cc kits, with custom sizes on request.

Premium ferrules & fittings for mechanical splicing of wire rope

When it comes to wire rope assemblies, ferrules and fittings play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and strength of the system as a whole.

Ferrules are metal sleeves used to terminate wire ropes by crimping or swaging them onto the rope. These sleeves are typically made of materials like aluminum, copper, or stainless steel, chosen for their durability and corrosion resistance. Fittings, on the other hand, refer to the end attachments, such as hooks, eyes, or links, that connect the wire rope assembly to other components or structures.

In wire rope assemblies, ferrules are used to secure the ends of the wire rope by compressing them tightly around the strands, creating a strong and reliable termination point. Fittings are then attached to these terminated ends to allow for connections to be made with other equipment or structures. This combination of ferrules and fittings ensures that the wire rope assembly can withstand heavy loads, vibrations, and other environmental factors.
