Information about the management of personal data at Talurit Group.

We have always strived to build strong and trustworthy relations with all parties with which we do business. Hence, we need to manage your personal data with your integrity in focus. Personal data is all kinds of information that can be used to identify you as a natural person. Our Privacy Policy describes why and how we manage your personal data as well as how you can exercise your rights.

1. General

This privacy and marketing policy (”Privacy policy”) describes how Talurit AB, Talurit GmbH, Talurit UK, Talurit Machinery (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., Talurit, Inc. and Talurit Pte. Ltd.,  (”Talurit Group”, ”we”) collect, use, disclose, and store your personal information. The policy also describes your rights and how to apply them.

1.1 The privacy policy applies when Talurit Group provides services and products related to purchase, service issues and all other contact with Talurit Group, such as visiting the websites. The privacy policy also applies to the handling of personal information made within the possession of a Talurit account (”Account holder”) on the website and/or on the web shop.

1.2 As a customer at Talurit Group you should always be able to feel safe when leaving your personal information with us. This privacy policy, demonstrates that we are handling your personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

2. Personal data responsibility

Talurit Group is responsible for the handling of your personal information and is responsible for ensuring that such handling is in accordance with GDPR and DPA regulations. Talurit Group is also responsible for the handling of your personal information within your account holdings on Talurit Group´s websites and web shops.

3. When are we handling your personal information?

3.1 For you to be able to visit our website, buy our products or services, or contact us for service and information, we must collect and handle personal information about you.

3.2 Talurit Group collects and handles personal information about you when completing a purchase from Talurit Group, using the support of Talurit Group, visiting the website or an event held by Talurit Group, or when you in any other way are in contact with Talurit Group. The information collected from you at the time of booking and purchase is required for you to enter into an agreement with Talurit Group, and to enable Talurit Group to provide our services and offers.

3.3 If you are an account holder on the Talurit website and/or the web shop, Talurit Group will collect personal information about you that you are submitting when registering your details. Talurit Group will also collect information about you while being an account holder within your account holding, such as your purchase history, how you are interacting with the websites, what kind of deals you have been interested in when reading an e-mail and/or clicking on a link.

4. What kind of personal information are we handling about you?

4.1 If you are a customer or an account holder of Talurit Group

The personal information that Talurit Group collects and handles about you as a customer who makes purchases and uses our support services is as follows:

  • Name and identification number (social security number, national ID, organization number, VAT number)
  • Address
  • Phone number and e-mail
  • Payment details
  • Account number (customer number)
  • IP-address and information about your use of the Talurit Group website
  • Information about your interactions with Talurit Group
  • Title and attestation
  • Statistics regarding business transactions.
5. Why are we handling information about you?

5.1 If you are a customer with Talurit Group

Talurit Group are handling your personal data for different purposes. Mainly, Talurit Group will handle your information in order to: 

  • To be able to fulfill our obligations to you as a customer, such as purchasing, invoicing and providing support;
  • Enable general customer care and customer service, such as answering questions and correcting information that is incorrect;
  • Provide information and targeted marketing, by mail, e-mail, and phone regarding the products and services that Talurit Group and selected partners/distributors has;
  • Maintain customer relations and offer our services;
  • Provide relevant information and customized offers in newsletters and on the website;
  • Improve customer offers, such as developed services, products and functions;
  • Prevent fraud and risk management;
  • Follow relevant legislation, such as accounting laws; and
  • Be able to handle customer complaints and query´s in a correct way.

The information could also be used as a basis in marketing and customer analysis, market research, statistics, following up business interactions, and business and method development related to the purchase of products or services. 

5.2 If you are an Account holder on any of our websites

In addition to the list above, Talurit Group also handles personal information about account holders in order to:

  • Manage account holding;
  • Present special offers;
  • To be able to communicate with you as an account holder by mail, e-mail or phone; and
  • To be able to send personalized offers, marketing and event invitations by mail, e-mail, phone and all social media (such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn).
6. The legal basis for our handling of your personal information

6.1 Talurit Group is basing the handling of your personal information on a number of legal grounds. These are described in this section.

6.2 We handle your personal information to be able to fulfill the agreement with you as a customer or account holder, such as making a purchase. And also, to be able to fulfill our commitments towards you who are interacting with Talurit Group, such as simplified administration and order history. With this legal basis as support, we also handle information about you as an account holder, such as your purchases, your behaviour on our website, your interaction with Talurit Group, and your interest in our offers and products. This is for us to be able to fulfill our commitment to you as a customer by providing customized and personal deals.   

6.3 A part of the handling of personal information that we carry out, is based on a so-called balancing of interests. This applies on, e.g. the handling we are conducting to be able to send offers about our products and services to you, and also to be able to make a limited segmentation of customers based on, for example, the total purchase sum. Talurit Group will not process sensitive personal information on the base of balancing of interests and will not perform any profiling with that information.

6.4 In some cases, Talurit Group may have a legal obligation to handle your personal information. This applies, for example, when we are handling personal information in order to meet the requirements of accounting laws.

8. How long will we save personal information about you?

8.1 Your personal information will be saved in accordance with the above table. Talurit Group may save the information longer if it is necessary, to comply with legal requirements or to guard the legal interests of Talurit Group, if for example there is a legal process going on.  

8.2 Talurit Group will save personal information about customers for a maximum of five years after the customer last time made a purchase or in any other way interacted with Talurit Group.   

8.3 Talurit Group saves information about Account holders as long as the Account holder has an account on Talurit Group’s webshop and/or website. 

9. Who will we give out personal information to?

9.1 Talurit Group may provide personal information to a third party, such as partners and/or distributors that the Talurit Group has. 

9.2 The third party that Talurit Group provide information to or in any other way retrieves information about a customer or account holder, is only allowed to use this information in sales and marketing purposes for Talurit Group and/or our partners/distributors products and services or as a means of delivering services related to the agreement that Talurit Group has with you as a customer or account holder.  

9.3 Personal information may also be given out by Talurit Group if it is necessary to comply with applicable legal requirements or governmental requirements, to preserve the legal interests of Talurit Group or to detect, prevent and pay attention to fraud and other security and technical issues.

9.4 Talurit Group may transfer your personal information to a country outside of the EU/EEA, if any of the partners/distributors that the Talurit Group has, are located there. If personal information is transferred to a country outside the EU/EEA, Talurit Group will take precautions to ensure that the personal information remain protected and also take the necessary precautions to legally transfer personal information to non-EU/EEA countries.

9.5 We will not sell your personal information to third parties.

10. Changing the privacy policy

Talurit Group has the right to change the privacy policy at any time. Talurit Group will inform you in good time if there are any changes to the privacy policy. If you do not accept the changes, you are entitled to terminate the agreement with Talurit Group before the changed policy implementation date. You terminate the agreement by contacting Talurit Group with a written statement and identity card. 

11. The protection of your personal information

You should always be able to feel safe when you submit your personal information to us. Therefore, Talurit Group has taken the security measures necessary to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, change and deletion. For example, all information about customers and account holders are saved with a firewall and permission managed protected database.

12. Your rights

12.1 Talurit Group is responsible that your personal information is handled in accordance with applicable legislation.

12.2 Talurit Group will on your request or on our own initiative, rectify, disassociate, delete or supplement information that is found to be incorrect, incomplete or misleading.    

12.3 From the Talurit Group you have the right to request

a) Access to your personal information. This means that you have the right to request a registry extract of how we are handling your personal information. You also have the right to obtain a copy of the personal information that is handled at Talurit Group. Once a calendar year you are entitled to, with a written signed application, receive a registry extract about what kind of personal information that is registered, why we have the information about you and to which partners/distributors we have given it to. In the registry extract you also have the right to know where from we have collected your personal information from, if you have not submitted it yourself. You also have the right to receive personal information about your other rights listed in this paragraph.

b) Correction of your personal information. On your request, we will as soon as possible correct the incorrect or incomplete information we handle about you.

c) Deletion of your personal information. This means that you are entitled to request that your personal information will be removed if they are no longer necessary for the purpose of which they were first collected for. If there are legal requirements that is preventing us from deleting your personal information immediately, for example accounting and tax legislation, we will delete the handling done for other purposes than complying with the law.

d) Restriction of handling. This means that your personal information will be marked so that they are only used for certain purposes. For example, you may request a restriction when you believe your information is incorrect and you have requested a correction according to paragraph 12.3 b). While the accuracy of this information is investigated, the handling of the information will be restricted.

12.4 Talurit Group will notify each recipient, to whom the personal information has been shared with according to paragraph 11 above, concerning corrections or erasing of the information.  

12.5 You are entitled to data portability. Under certain circumstances, you have the right to obtain and transfer your personal information in a structured, widely used, and machine-readable format to another person responsible for personal information.

12.6 You are entitled to object how your personal information is used supporting a balance of interest. If you object to such handling, we will only continue to handle your personal information if there are legitimate reasons weighing heavier than your interests.

12.7 If you do not want us to handle your personal information for direct marketing, you are always entitled to object by sending an e-mail to gdpr@talurit.se. Once we have received your objection we will cease to handle your personal information for this kind of activity.

12.8 You are also entitled to submit any complaints regarding the handling of your personal information to Data Protection Authority.
