Talurit® Swaging Systems

400T 1VS – Swager

SKU: P 0400T 1VS Category:

The Talurit® 400T 1VS is a medium-range swager built around a single-pillar body. It has an open, angled construction that puts the swaging area within easy reach and leaves the operator plenty of room to work. Behind that compact footprint sits 4 000 kN of swaging force, a variable-speed hydraulic system and an intelligent control system, so performance can be matched to the job rather than the other way round. It is a natural all-rounder for workshops handling medium-size wire ropes.

  • Powerful yet compact
  • Versatile & flexible
  • Safe & reliable
  • User friendly
  • Compatible with many types of dies

The defining feature of the 400T 1VS is its construction. A single, angled pillar carries the load, which leaves three sides of the swaging area open. This results in that the dies are quick to change, the rope assembly is easy to line up, and there is nothing crowding the operator’s hands. The electric cabinet follows the same angle as the body, so the screen and controls sit where the operator is already standing rather than off to one side. Cast steel throughout gives the machine its strength and its 2 150 kg of standing stability.

The 400T 1VS carries a bigger die holder than is usual for a machine in this force class. In practice that means a wider choice of die sets, and the ability to take on larger ferrule sizes through multiple swaging operations, work that would otherwise call for a heavier machine. The standard fit is a FIX D Guide holder; a FIX 2½” x 5″ Guide and a FIX 4″ x 7″ + 5″ x 7″ Guide Dual are available as options.

Variable speed

Speed on the 400T 1VS is not fixed — it transitions gradually as force builds. At maximum setting the piston travels at 10 mm/s (0,39"/s), easing down to 1,8 mm/s (0,07"/s) as it reaches full force at 400 tonnes. The operator sets where in that range the machine works.

Conventional swagers step from high to low speed at a fixed pressure, which means the bulk of the swage is completed at the slower rate. The gradual transition on the 400T 1VS keeps average speed higher across the whole cycle.

The column chart shows estimated full-stroke cycle times for the 400T 1VS against a conventional 600T (7,5 kW) swager. Across the ferrule sizes measured, the 400T 1VS saves an average of 40% over the full cycle.

Touch screen

The 10" touch screen gives direct access to every setting and reads back clearly what the machine is doing. It is built to help operators bring down cycle times, cut unnecessary movement, and reduce wear on both the die sets and the machine itself.

Tapping the "T" in the Talurit® logo brings up the total number of swaging operations completed and the swager's total operating time.

Built-in Oil Cooler

A built-in oil cooler lets the 400T 1VS run longer shifts and hold performance in hotter or harder conditions. Temperature sensors regulate it automatically to keep the oil in its optimal range, which in turn reduces overall oil consumption.

Silencer

A silencing package comes as standard, holding noise during operation to approximately 70 dB (A) — and around 50 dB (A) once the machine settles into idle.

Premium hydraulic swagers for mechanical splicing of wire rope

A hydraulic swager is an essential machine used in many industries around the globe such as construction, marine, and aerospace. They are mainly used for mechanical splicing of wire rope where high pressure is used to swage ferrules, terminals and other fittings onto the wire rope. Since the swager plays a crucial role in securely joining wire ropes to form connections, it has grown to be vital in various applications. All of our swagers are manufactured in our facilities in Sweden and have become synonymous with premium quality, innovation, and reliability.

Talurit® swagers: Raising the bar for safety & performance

Engineered to meet the highest standards of safety and performance, Talurit® branded swagers are the preferred choice for professionals worldwide. With decades of expertise in wire rope splicing solutions, we have continued to perfect the design and functionality of our hydraulic swagers to ensure optimal results with every use.

Precision & power: Swagers with advanced hydraulic system

One of the key features of our hydraulic swagers is their advanced hydraulic system, which provides precise control and immense power for seamless splicing of wire ropes. This allows operators to achieve consistent and durable terminations, even in the more demanding environments.

Safety first without compromising on efficiency

Ergonomic design ensures ease of operation and reduces operator fatigue, enhancing productivity and efficiency in wire rope splicing tasks. Additionally, safety features such as built-in overload protection and emergency stop mechanisms provide peace of mind, ensuring a secure working environment for operators.

Our competitive edge is your advantage

At Talurit Group, our commitment to quality and innovation is evident in every aspect of our hydraulic swagers, from the durable construction using high-grade materials to the meticulous attention to detail in the manufacturing process. Each hydraulic swager undergoes rigorous testing before being shipped to the customer, making it ready to perform under challenging conditions directly from the start.

Having a Talurit® branded swager in your workshop is a symbol of excellence in wire rope splicing technology. With unmatched reliability, precision, and safety features, our hydraulic swagers have been the preferred choice since the '40s for professionals who demand nothing but the best.
