Talurit® Swaging Systems
The turnback TK ferrule system (Konit™) is designed for ease of use, delivering quick, safe, and reliable performance. TK ferrules smaller than size 5 can be swaged using hand tools, sizes 6 to 60 are single-stage swaged, while those larger than size 60 require a special multi-stage swaging method. Feel free to contact us for more information and further guidance.
TK conical ferrules feature a tapered back to minimize the risk of load snagging. TK stands for T (Talurit®) and K (Konit™). These ferrules combine elegance with functionality and are manufactured from seamless aluminum for enhanced safety. From size 8 and upwards, they are fully traceable (ISO 9001) and marked with size, type, and manufacturing batch number.
Our “Ferrule Securing Instruction” provides comprehensive guidelines on the correct pressing method, required pressure, and ferrule selection criteria. Approved by numerous international institutions and authorities, our aluminum ferrules meet the highest standards of quality and safety. TK and TKH ferrules conform to the European standard EN 13411-3 for turnback ferrule or ferrule-secured eye terminations (FSET). They are produced from seamless extrusions using AW-5051A aluminum alloy as specified in EN 573-3.
Applications: TK aluminum ferrules are widely used across various industries, particularly in lifting gear applications. Thoroughly specified and well-defined for numerous wire rope applications, these ferrules are tested and verified according to EN 13411-3. Suitable for fiber core, single-layer wire ropes, steel core single-layer wire ropes, rotation-resistant wire ropes, and some spiral strand ropes, TK ferrules ensure reliable and versatile performance.

When it comes to wire rope assemblies, ferrules and fittings play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and strength of the system as a whole.
Ferrules are metal sleeves used to terminate wire ropes by crimping or swaging them onto the rope. These sleeves are typically made of materials like aluminum, copper, or stainless steel, chosen for their durability and corrosion resistance. Fittings, on the other hand, refer to the end attachments, such as hooks, eyes, or links, that connect the wire rope assembly to other components or structures.
In wire rope assemblies, ferrules are used to secure the ends of the wire rope by compressing them tightly around the strands, creating a strong and reliable termination point. Fittings are then attached to these terminated ends to allow for connections to be made with other equipment or structures. This combination of ferrules and fittings ensures that the wire rope assembly can withstand heavy loads, vibrations, and other environmental factors.
