RBS 90 – Rigging device
The Talurit® RBS 90 is designed for our 800T, 1000T, and 2000T swagers and is suitable for wire ropes of up to 90 mm diameter. It can be retrofitted onto almost all Talurit® models of the same capacity.
Acting as a mechanical assistant, the RBS 90 is the best way to deal with the heavy, labor-intensive, time-consuming, and sometimes dangerous work of forming a sling eye using large-diameter wire rope. As it is directly mounted onto the swager, it is very effective and cost-efficient, allowing a single operator to easily and safely handle the whole operation. The RBS 90 also simplifies the whole process by emphasizing sling eye shape and accuracy. Using the hydraulic controls, the wire rope is drawn between the gripping plates of the pulling part, through the ferrule, and then into the gripping plate of the rotating part. This section of the unit forms the sling eye and directs the wire rope end back through the ferrule. The pulling part then easily tightens and finally shapes the eye to the correct size. When not in use, the RBS 90 can be neatly folded to the side to save space.

The hydraulic system is operated using the joystick controls positioned on the control box. Attached to the press body using strong magnets, the control box ensures an ergonomic placement for the operator, allowing comfortable and efficient use of the controls. The speed, which is frequency-controlled, is influenced by the extent to which the joysticks are moved. This ensures a dynamic and controlled movement with high precision.
