Talurit® Swaging Systems
Multicone – the ultimate accessory for enhanced safety and durability in Ferrule Secured Eye Terminations (FSET). Engineered with a tapered design and crafted from a single piece of aluminum, Multicone minimizes the risk of snagging while ensuring long-lasting performance. This solution complies completely with EN 13411-3. The Talurit® Multicone is assembled with ferrules, type T and UM, and is available in different sizes. Furthermore, it can be used with carbon steel turnback ferrules type STS.
The Multicone is a patented solution from Talurit Group, engineered to enhance safety and durability in Ferrule Secured Eye Terminations (FSET). Its tapered design for larger ferrule sizes minimizes the risk of snagging on surrounding objects, ensuring smooth operation in various environments. Crafted from a single piece of aluminum, Multicone offers exceptional longevity with minimal maintenance requirements.
The innovative off-center design conceals the steel wire rope’s dead end inside the cone without compromising FSET strength. Equipped with an inspection hole meeting EN 13411-3 standards, Multicone facilitates field inspection, providing visual confirmation of the dead-end position.
Applications: Multicone is compatible with ferrules, including types T and UM, and can be paired with carbon steel turnback ferrules type STS. Utilizing a cylindrical die set for swaging, Multicone seamlessly integrates into IWRC wire rope systems. Before swaging the ferrule, the cone is mounted on the wire rope, ensuring a secure fit during the compression process. Available in stock for wire rope diameters ranging from 18 to 88 mm, Multicone can be customized for larger or smaller sizes upon request.
Important Note: When selecting Multicone size, it’s typically based on the measured wire rope diameter. For guidance or assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact our technical department.

When it comes to wire rope assemblies, ferrules and fittings play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and strength of the system as a whole.
Ferrules are metal sleeves used to terminate wire ropes by crimping or swaging them onto the rope. These sleeves are typically made of materials like aluminum, copper, or stainless steel, chosen for their durability and corrosion resistance. Fittings, on the other hand, refer to the end attachments, such as hooks, eyes, or links, that connect the wire rope assembly to other components or structures.
In wire rope assemblies, ferrules are used to secure the ends of the wire rope by compressing them tightly around the strands, creating a strong and reliable termination point. Fittings are then attached to these terminated ends to allow for connections to be made with other equipment or structures. This combination of ferrules and fittings ensures that the wire rope assembly can withstand heavy loads, vibrations, and other environmental factors.
