Talurit Group launches the new Talurit® 400T 1VS single-pillar swager for faster, quieter and more efficient production
Talurit Group strengthens its premium swager portfolio with the launch of the Talurit® 400T 1VS, an entirely new single-pillar swager engineered and built in Sweden for medium-sized wire ropes. With a maximum swaging force of 400 tonnes (4,000 kN), it handles aluminium T-Ferrules up to size 38, UM ferrules up to size 40, sockets and terminals up to 1 ¼” and Flemish eye sleeves up to 1 ⅛”.
Long service life begins with the structure. The 400T 1VS is built for high strength and minimal maintenance, and its angled single-pillar body opens up the swaging area to give the operator a spacious working environment for handling heavy rope assemblies. The standard FIX D Guide die holder is larger than is typical for this machine size, allowing a wider range of die sets and larger ferrule sizes. Its guided design absorbs the eccentric forces generated when a sleeve, end stop or terminal is turned and swaged repeatedly. These are the everyday loads that decide how a machine wears over years of production.
Variable speed and a smart control system keep cycle times short. The piston travels at up to 10 mm/s and slows gradually as pressure rises, reaching its minimum pace only at the full 400 tonnes. A built-in oil cooler holds the hydraulic oil within its optimal range, an idle mode reduces noise and energy consumption between swages, and a standard silencing package keeps noise to approximately 70 dB(A) during operation and only 50 dB(A) at idle. Force, speed and return distance are set on the 10” touch screen, and an electric foot pedal with a ‘hold’ position leaves both hands free for the wire rope.

Every Talurit® swager is engineered and manufactured at the group’s own certified facilities in Sweden, where its engineering team is also based, and is backed by spare parts, service and application support through subsidiaries in Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Singapore, China and the Middle East, together with a global network of authorised distributors.
