Employee Spotlight – Alexander Engdahl

Alexander, tell us about your journey!

“I started working at Talurit Group in 2011, and I am now the warehouse and assembly manager in Sweden for Talurit AB. My responsibilities are quite broad but include tasks such as project planning, ensuring the right expertise, providing support during installations, and ensuring a positive work environment for the team.

One of the highlights of working at Talurit AB is the company’s size, which fosters close collaboration across departments. There is remarkable dedication and competence among the staff, which is highly visible throughout the whole business. Something that I find especially rewarding at the assembly department is that we take huge pride in our profession. We would never compromise on quality or send anything to a customer without being completely satisfied.

Here at Talurit AB, there are ample opportunities for personal and professional growth. In my case, I started as an electrical cabinet assembler with no practical experience. Over the years, I learned mechanics both practically and theoretically, then progressed to team leader and eventually became a manager.

I have many fond memories, thinking back. One that stands out was during a wire rope test here at one of our larger test beds. Everyone was tense since it sounds quite loud when it reaches the breaking point, and Roger startled everyone by throwing a large metal plate on the ground. It was a good laugh that still makes me smile. Moreover, we always make sure to come up with fun activities after working hours, for example, fishing or going to a quiz. We really enjoy working together!

In my spare time, I enjoy woodcarving, such as carving ladles or coffee scoops for people I know. Additionally, I also practise Thai boxing and swimming. Otherwise, you will find me out in nature.”
