Production & Material Planner to Talurit GmbH in Gottmadingen, Germany
Permanent position – Open for application now
What Talurit does
We develop, manufacture, and maintain high-quality mechanical splicing systems used by fabricators worldwide, with facilities in Germany, Sweden, and the UK, all ISO 9001 certified.
We’re a focused, international manufacturing company that takes quality seriously and invests in the people who make it happen.
The honest version of this role
Our current planner is retiring this year after many naby years in the role and we want to hire his successor. You will be stepping into into a challenging role where there is both the day to day to manage successfully but also push the organization to fully digital processes.
We have a plan and need someone competent to help bring it to life. You must be able to handle less than optimal processes initially while we build together the spaceship for the future and maintain business continuity.
If that sounds like a nightmare to you, this is not your role.
If that sounds like exactly the kind of problem you want to own, keep reading.
What you’ll actually be doing
Day-to-day, you own the planning and material flow:
- Build and maintain production plans based on order backlog, capacity, and material availability
- Manage supplier orders, delivery schedules, and material shortages
- Keep ERP data clean, accurate, and trusted — this is non-negotiable
- Be the central point between Production, Warehouse, Engineering, Customer Service, and our Group Sourcing & Inventory Management team (GSIM)
- Re-plan fast when things go sideways (they will — that’s manufacturing)
- Own standard cost calculations and ensure cost development is aligned with agreed targets
- Supplier negotiations
The transformation project
white belt / core requirements is where you’ll make your mark:
- Drive the migration of production planning from Excel into ERP — we use iScala (experience with any serious ERP is what matters, iScala even better)
- Run test scenarios document the results, and iterate
- Own the move to zero paper
- Extract data, build reports, make the system useful for the people who rely on it
black belt / strong advantage if you bring these:
- Map current business processes, understand what’s really happening, and define how to achieve the same outcomes inside the ERP
- Design test scenarios
What we need from you
Must-haves:
- Solution oriented person
- Solid experience in production planning and/or materials management in a manufacturing environment
- Real ERP skills — you’ve used one properly, not just looked at it. iScala experience is a genuine advantage
- Structured and methodical when it comes to data, processes, and documentation
- Comfortable working in an unstructured environment while building the structure
- Fluent in German and English — both, non-negotiable. You’ll work across an international group
- The kind of person who looks at a broken process and immediately starts mentally redesigning it
Good to have:
- Experience in metal processing, wire, or precision manufacturing
- Familiarity with test documentation and system validation
- Background in process improvement or digitalization projects
What we offer
- A permanent role with real ownership and direct access to the Site Manager (Geschäftsführer)
- A transformation project that will genuinely shape how the site operates for the next decade
- A stable, internationally operating company with a leading arket position
- A team that values doing things properly and isn’t afraid to admit when the starting point is imperfect
