Who is these online courses for?
Our courses are written for the people who make and inspect wire rope terminations every day — not for a classroom.
- Workshop operators & swaging technicians who produce ferrule-secured eyes, sockets and slings in volume
- Riggers & lifting personnel who need to understand what they are attaching a load to
- Distributors & partner staff who specify, sell and support our products
- QHSE, quality & inspection managers responsible for competence records and traceability
- Purchasers & technical buyers who want to understand what separates a compliant termination from a cheap one
- Anyone new to wire rope, starting from terminology and construction
Whether you have been swaging for twenty years or you are opening the machine for the first time this week, there is a level that fits.

Benefits of joining Talurit® Academy
We are the global market leader in swagers, ferrules & wire rope equipment, & the original inventor of the turnback ferrule that laid the foundation for today’s European standards.
Every completed course ends with a knowledge test. Pass it & you can download a personal Talurit® Academy certificate showing the course title, the date of completion & your name — ready to add to your company’s training records.
Higher safety, better results
Knowledge is what separates a safe termination from a dangerous one. When you understand the method behind the work, you make better decisions under pressure, you produce the same reliable result every time, and you spot problems long before they become failures. That confidence spreads through a whole team. Skilled professionals waste less material, need less rework and keep production moving. Investing in your development is one of the simplest ways to raise the standard of everything you do.

What you will learn
The Talurit® Academy catalogue will be built around five subject areas. Each course is a self-contained module you can complete between jobs.
Online training is the fastest way to give a whole team the same baseline. It costs nothing to start, it runs in a browser on any device, and nobody has to travel. For everything that has to be done with your hands on the machine, we come to you.
Certificate on completion
Every course ends with a knowledge assessment. Pass it and you can download a personal Talurit® Academy certificate showing your name, the course title and the date of completion — ready for your company’s training records and competence matrix.
To be clear about what it is: this is product and method training from the manufacturer. It documents that you have completed and understood a specific Talurit® course. It is not a substitute for statutory training, accredited competence certification or the authorization your employer gives you to operate a particular machine. Use it as evidence of product knowledge alongside those requirements, not instead of them.
Training grounded in the standards
Most termination failures are not caused by bad luck. They are caused by someone not knowing what “correct” looks like.
Our courses teach the method as the standards define it. When you finish a Talurit® Academy course, you will know which standard applies to the work in front of you, what it requires, and how to recognize what does not meet it.
Pioneering force
Mechanical splicing with turnback ferrules is governed by EN 13411-3, which sets the requirements for ferrule-secured eye terminations — the ferrule material, the dimensions, the swaged length and the requirement that the termination withstands at least 90% of the rope’s minimum breaking load. Resin socketing falls under EN 13411-4 and ISO 17558. Related parts of the EN 13411 series cover thimbles, wedge sockets and wire rope grips.
Talurit Group has been part of the development of these standards since the beginning. Our original turnback ferrule laid the foundation for the European approach to mechanical splicing, and our splicing methods are validated to EN 13411-3.
Online courses in splicing, socketing & inspection
From there, mechanical splicing & ferrule-secured terminations teaches the method we invented in the 1940s as it should be done: ferrule selection, rope preparation, turnback geometry, die selection, swaging pressure, and the visual checks that tell you whether the termination in your hand is right or wrong.
Resin socketing with TALULOCK® follows the same work through a different method, from brooming and cleaning to mixing ratios, pouring, cure times and the storage and safety requirements that come with a two-component expoxy resin.
Machine operation & maintenance takes you around the equipment itself — swagers, cutting and annealing machines, coiling and uncoiling units — with the daily checks, die care and common faults worth knowing before you call service.
Finally, inspection, testing & discard closes the loop: how to inspect a finished termination, what a proof or destructive test actually demonstrates, and the criteria that decide when a rope or termination comes out of service.
