K – Aluminium Turnback Ferrule
The K Ferrule (Konit™) is a high-performance aluminium ferrule designed to meet the stringent requirements of the Talurit® splicing system. Made from a specially designed profile, the K Ferrule becomes smaller in diameter after pressing compared to the T Ferrule, providing a more compact and efficient solution. Available in sizes from 09 to 90, these ferrules are produced from seamless extrusions of aluminium alloy EN AW-5051A, ensuring superior strength and durability.
The K Aluminium Ferrule (Konit™) is ideal for a variety of basic applications, particularly with bright or galvanized single-layer steel wire ropes with round strands up to a fill factor of 0.60 and grade 1960. It is suitable for both Ordinary and Lang lay types of rope. For fibre core wire ropes larger than 60 mm, the maximum applicable rope grade is 1770. These wire ropes should conform to EN 12385-4 and 5 standards.

- Basic applications involving bright or galvanized single-layer steel wire ropes
- Use with wire ropes featuring round strands up to a fill factor of 0.60 and grade 1960
- Suitable for both Ordinary and Lang lay types of rope
- Fibre core wire ropes up to a maximum grade of 1770 for sizes larger than 60 mm
