TALUCRIMP™ – Aluminium Turnback Ferrule
The TALUCRIMP™ is a cutting-edge mechanical splicing system designed for steel wire ropes ranging from 8 to 12 mm in diameter, accommodating both fiber and steel cores. This innovative system utilizes lightweight hand tools weighing less than 8 kg to swage ferrules onto the rope, creating efficient turnback connections. The TALUCRIMP™ 13 is a specifically tested connection for 12 mm steel wire rope in a 7×19 Seale construction, making it ideal for applications in ropes courses and forestry.
The TALUCRIMP™ system is engineered for ease and efficiency in various applications:

When using TALUCRIMP™ ferrules according to our instructions, the resulting sling achieves a breaking load of at least 100 kN. Typically, creating a termination on a wire of this diameter would require a swager/press weighing over 500 kg, but our portable system achieves the same result with this specialized ferrule.

Important considerations: Please note that TALUCRIMP™ splices are not approved for lifting purposes. Always follow the Talurit® Ferrule Securing Instruction and use our Talurit® swagers, hand tools and products. The TALUCRIMP™ system has been type tested according to EN 13411-3, including a tensile test and a 75,000 cycle fatigue test with the following rope constructions: 6x19S IWRC and K6x19S IWRC, with a fill factor between 0.57 and 0.68, grade 1960. It also meets the requirements of EN 15567-1:2015. Fatigue testing has demonstrated that a single TALUCRIMP™ ferrule can be used for a turn-back eye termination.
