KA 03 – Automatic wire rope annealing machine

The KA03 AM is a high volume automatic cutting machine that cuts wire rope between 1-3 mm using a fuse cut. Integrated with the accompanying de-reeler, the set up is ideal for high volume productions. It can also easily be integrated with downstream production equipment for a fully automatic production cell.

Key benefits:

  • Effective – As little as 2,4 seconds per 1 meter units.
  • Fuse cut – Keeps the strands within the crosssection which gives an easier handling of the wire rope.

The KA03-AM automatic wire rope annealing machine is a very efficient machine designed for very high volumes of small wire ropes. The cut is a fuse cut enabled through putting a current over the wire rope and the feeding unit is managed by a high speed pushing unit. The cut samples are collected in either a kick out tray or into a downstream machine is the cutter is part of a integrated manufacturing cell.

To allow for a high speed feeding and cutting of the wire rope, the cutter is equipped with an accompanying de-reeler that has a buffer of up to 10 meters. This enables a smooth movement of the reel without having to start and stop at every cut.

Normal wire rope size range is from 1 – 3mm and the setup can manage to cut 1,500 units of 1 meter lengths per hour.

The de-reeler can handle up to 400Kg reels and has a function for automatic loading/unloading.
