AM 07 – Automatic cutting machine

The AM 07 automatic cutting and annealing machine is fully automatic, controlled by a PLC with a display unit. It is designed to handle wire ropes in diameters between 1 and 7 mm. The cut-off lengths can be set between 95 and 1 000 mm and are executed with high accuracy (± 1 mm on 500 mm length). Both feeding and rotation is dynamic and adjustable to set the wanted wire rope end results. The shape of the cut wire rope can be either tapered, rounded or flat.

The AM 07 automatic cutting machine is equipped with a built-in cooling device. It can be custom made to fit into a production line interacting with other machinery, such as the TALURIT® uncoiling machine, AVL 500M or AVL 75. Communication with robot is also possible.

Approximate cycle time vary between 6 and 30 sec. depending on wire rope diameter, length and shape. This AM 07 wire rope cutting system is used for instance within the automotive industry. One example where a wire rope cut from this machine is used is when manufacturing safety belt attachments for automotive industry.
