We need some service on our CCL press. Who can help us? 2015-07-27T07:00:41+00:00

Our UK operation has all necessary knowledge, documentation and equipment to service and repair old CCL Talurit machines.

Where can I find spare parts for former CCL Talurit presses? 2015-07-27T07:00:22+00:00

Please contact our UK office!

What to do if the press/swager does not reach maximum pressure? 2015-07-27T07:00:01+00:00

It is likely that there is a loss of the high pressure function which may be the result of worn out O-rings in the valve house or if there is oil leakage from the main ram then the cylinder seals may require replacing. Please consult us.

I have lost the die “hold” position via the foot pedal function on my 300t press? 2015-07-27T06:59:43+00:00

Loss of this function may be due to either an electrical or hydraulic malfunction. To test electrics press the solenoid No 1 and if piston functions normally then check connections on circuit board and foot pedal. If the piston remains stationary it is likely the “O”rings in the valve housing require replacing , please consult us for instructions etc.

What is the largest size of aluminium ferrule that can be pressed in a 300t press? 2015-07-27T06:59:25+00:00

With standard type wire rope constructions our 300t press will press upto Code 22T (24 UM )single bite and Code 30T (32 UM) multi-bite.

Is it possible to use the 18 t single pillar press horizontally? 2015-07-27T06:58:22+00:00

Yes, as an alternative to the vertical position the press can be laid on its back giving easy access to the die pocket.

Can I use different hydraulic units with my 18 ton press? 2017-06-13T15:06:11+00:00

Yes, in our standard range we have hand pumps, foot pumps, air-hydraulic pumps, motor pumps and portable hydraulic power packs.

Why are the sides of my dies no longer parallel ? 2015-07-27T06:56:20+00:00

You have been overloading the dies, adjust the press loading for the size of ferrule to be pressed.

How can I ensure optimum die life ? 2015-07-27T06:55:58+00:00

Ensure the die bore is regularly lubricated prior to pressing the ferrules.

Is it possible to swage stainless steel terminals in the 30 t press? 2015-03-19T11:00:50+00:00

Yes, with either round or hexagonally shaped bores in the dies it is possible to swage SS terminals corresponding to US mill spec up to approx 6 mm wire rope in several stages depending terminal length.

What type of press is suitable for pressing of aluminium ferrules upto maximum 7 mm IWRC wire rope in one stage? 2017-06-13T15:06:11+00:00

Our 30t single pillar press with a 1,5 or 3 kW hydraulic unit is most suitable and economically priced.

When do I know that my dies need replacing ? 2015-03-19T10:56:13+00:00

Visually check for surface damage, measure bore (both halves together) and contact us with bore dimension for advice.

May I use the same die for both aluminium & steel ferrules ? 2015-03-10T22:50:27+00:00

No,the die profiles and heat treatment is different.

After pressing the ferrule is jammed in the dies ? 2015-03-10T22:49:55+00:00

The die is probably damaged, consult us.

Is it possible to swage nylon ropes? 2015-03-10T22:48:48+00:00

Yes but you can not reccon upon to reach full strength of the termination. With our SYNCRIMP ferrule you can swage nylon ropes and reach about 30-50% of the maximum strength of the rope.

When using tapered ferrules how do I know if the dead end of the rope is correctly positioned in the ferrule ? 2015-03-10T22:48:16+00:00

A. By using our type TKH ferrule which incorporates an inspection hole to confirm rope position inside the ferrule.
